Parents are going through a lot these days.

If you’re like me right now, the highs are high and the lows are low. And every day still feels a bit roller coaster-ish.

One of the things that I’m really hopeful about is the research on post-traumatic GROWTH.

Recently we talked to Dr. Lynyetta Willis about resilience and post-traumatic growth.

Lynyetta covers a lot in just a few minutes… how to find meaning in a difficult situation, why we fall back on old patterns, the importance of community, and two questions to ask yourself when you get triggered.

Lynyetta’s answer was so reassuring, it changed my mood–and the trajectory of my day–almost instantly.

May your day be filled with compassion for yourself, butterfly kisses, sun on your face, wind in your hair, and a warm hug (even a hug you give to yourself).

At the end of your day, may you rest in a cozy bed, with the knowledge that you did your best to show up, even if it was imperfect.

Warmly,
Cecilia and Jason Hilkey
